this is a neat idea because it helps in a couple of ways.
find a jar/vase/box that you like and decorate the the shit or of it!
paint, sparkles, stickers, whatever floats your little boat :)
then get fun colored paper or sticky notes and pull out the bad ass coping skills list. (the ones that actually work for you, not that genetic crap)
write one distraction on each paper and fold it up in whatever crazy way you please.
when an urge STARTS coming on, reach in and do and do the activity(walking, scrap booking, reading, writing yourself a letter, affirmations, whatevs!
the important part is to do it while the urge is young and set a rule that you have to follow through for 15/20/your lucky number of minutes.
